There’s really nothing much better in the sartorial sense than remixing old closet favorites, because after all, when you make clothing purchases, you always want to be able to wear them again and again, season after season, right?

In this post, I mentioned how everyone should have a couple of key pieces in their closet that matches with everything and can be easily thrown on without much of a thought. I have a few fail-safe closet classics, and this Zara skirt and Forever 21 dolman cardigan are just two of the bunch. I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve worn them – together or separately – and each time I hope that they last for years to come (so far so good!).

In other news… You may already be familiar with Nordstrom Rack and Barneys Warehouse (otherwise known as the discounted version of their luxury counterparts), but did you know that Macy’s will soon be joining in on the spin-offs too? Macy’s Backstage, opening this fall in New York as a “tester” in the market, promises well-curated merchandise at steep discounts as well as excellent shopping experience, including on-site cafes and (omg) Wi-Fi for its customers!

What are your thoughts about a discounted Macys? I’d love to hear them!
