PAINLESS MONDAY: FULL SKIRT + KITTEN HEEL

Good morning, lovely readers!

If you found yourself urgently scrabbling around for an outfit this Monday morning, here’s an easy fix for future reference: simple fitted top + full skirt! It might sound too easy to be true, but it’s been shown in the fashion circles that such a combination looks flattering on everyone, since it creates that enviable hourglass shape by emphasizing the smallest section of your waist while flaring out towards the bottom. I happen to love this Asos skirt (hint: it’s currently on sale!) – the soft jersey material maximizes comfort as I charge through my day, and the bright white is so on point for summer! Additionally, here are a few other gorgeous full skirts that have recently caught my eye:

Ted Baker Floral Skirt (major love!)
Ann Taylor Skirt (major love!)
Banana Republic XO Skirt (major love!)
Halston Heritage High-Low Skirt
Warehouse Patent Skirt
Ann Taylor  Mosaic Skirt
Express Lace Inset Full Skirt

And of course, a pair of kitten heels to anchor the look together only adds bonus points. Not every heel needs to be sky-high! The little kitten heel is making a big return this fall season, and because a shoe at that height doesn’t put as much pressure on the ball of your foot, the kitten heel not only offers a chic feminine look but also happens to be a lot more comfortable than the usual 4″ pump!

Thank you so much for reading! Enjoy this final day of August (I know; time flies!) – we’re counting down to the turn of the seasons and many more changes ahead!

Top: Banana Republic
